Weeks 4,5,6, and 7

So as you can see I have been really terrible at updating the blog lately so I am just going to give you an overview of what has been happening over the past month. Zach has been super busy with work, CLE’s, and studying for the Alabama Bar. I have been enjoying my days with Jackson and spending time with friends. Every Tuesday and Thurday I have been walking with Courtney, Sarah, Christy, Sommer, and her sweet boy Judah. It has been a nice way to get us outside and start getting back into shape:) Zach and I stay pretty busy with dinners with friends, church activities, and just having a baby but we are loving every minute of it! For my birthday Zach took me to pet a baby tiger! It was so wonderful and I learned so much about tigers. I just had my 6 week post-partum and everything is going well so now I can finally Wii fit and run to hopefully get back into shape. Now to our little man… at his one month check up he weighed 10 pounds 12 ounces and was 22 inches long which puts him in the 80% percentile for both. I weighed him this past Wednesday and he weighed 12 pounds! At his two month appointment he was a healthy 13 pounds 7 ounces, 22 ½ inches long, and his head was 37 cm. The doctor said he is doing well and there were no concerns:) He is growing so fast and I still see him change everyday. He has also started to socially smile and giggle. It is so much fun to watch all his facial expressions and find out what makes him smile:) He is also starting to enjoy tummy time and sat in his bumbo for the first time this past week!! He is doing so well holding his head up and gets stronger all the time. His eyesight is getting better and we have noticed that he is starting to track faces and certain objects. He is still eating every two hours during the day, so he will usually have one hour of awake time and then nap for an hour before he eats again. At night he has started sleeping for longer stretches, sometimes even 6 hours before he eats again! He also LOVES music, especially Chris Tomlin. Whenever he gets fussy I play him music and it usually will start to soothe him. He is becoming quite the character with all his faces and it is fun to start experiencing his personality develop:)
So some firsts from the past month:
